Wrong For You: May 1, 2017

I’m so excited to show you the fun new cover for my next release, Wrong For You, hitting bookstore shelves in just a few weeks! In fact, it’s already up for preorder on Amazon, if that’s the kind of thing you do.

Wrong For You on Amazon

It will also be available at Deseret Book, Seagull Book, and at Barnes and Noble. (If you don’t see it in your local B&N, please request it! They can order it for you!)

Here’s a quick summary of the book.

Lane Bishop is a hardworking, intelligent, beautiful young woman. And with her recent move to Chapel Hill, she is determined to leave behind the drama and effort of keeping up with the dating scene. Even so, Lane somehow manages to get dragged out by a gaggle of girls to go watch boys play soccer. Just watching is not Lane’s forte, so she joins in the fun and leads her team to victory.
Rather than feeling intimidated by the vivacious beauty on the opposing team, Jamie Hamilton is intrigued. Risking his “untouchable” dating status, he decides to pursue Lane—with a little help from his older brother Simon. With Simon’s behind-thescenes assistance, Jamie proves irresistible, even to a disillusioned dater like Lane. But as she gets to know both brothers, Lane can’t help but wonder—beneath the grand gestures and romantic words, is she falling for the wrong guy?

As always, thank you for reading, commenting, and reviewing! (Reviews are bread and butter for authors. They help boost ratings, give our books more visibility and make it easier for websites to pull our titles into their lists and recommendations. It only takes a few minutes, but for us, it makes a big difference!) Happy reading!

Love at First Note Grand Prize Giveaway

It’s been a busy book launch month so far, but we’re not quite finished yet! And this next giveaway? It’s most my favorite ever. Love at First Note is a book all about music, so I wanted to pull together a collection of prizes that celebrate great music and the role it can play in our lives. (Also, great chocolate. It’s in the book, but even if it wasn’t, do we need an actual reason to celebrate great chocolate?)

2 lucky winners will receive the following:

  • One signed copy of Love at First Note
  • One signed copy of pianist, William Joseph‘s latest album, Be Still
  • One signed copy of violinist Aaron Ashton‘s latest album, Split the Difference
  • One original playlist of the songs and sounds of Love at First Note
  • One 6 piece box of Truffles of assorted flavors from French Broad Chocolates in Asheville, NC

So let’s talk about the prizes a little, yeah?

Love at First Note. Obviously, I’m a fan. Hopefully you don’t need me to give you a reason for why I included this one.

William Joseph’s Be Still. I’ve always loved William Joseph’s music, but just for the sake of the book, his style and approach to music is similar to what I imagined for Elliott when writing Love at First Note. (Elliott is more a cross between William Joseph and the Piano Guys… though William might take the edge in comparisons. I mean, he and Elliott have the same hair, and we all know how important THAT is.) The album included in the giveaway is a personal favorite. It’s a collection of hymns: my go-to “calm my soul and sooth my weary heart” music.

Aaron Ashton’s Split the Difference. Year’s ago, Aaron Ashton did some missionary work on my side of the country and got to know my family pretty well. He’s an incredibly talented and accomplished violinist and I love the music on this album. The back of the album reads . . . about that place between violin and fiddle. And it’s a really great place. To me, it sounds like my home. Like my mountains and the traditions and history that exist here. I’d love to know what it sounds like to you!

The original Love at First Note Playlist. To be fair, I couldn’t include ALL the classical music mentioned in the book. It would take four hours to do so. So I borrowed my sister’s brain and whittled it down to a sampling. I can’t stop listening to it myself. Such amazing music.

French Broad Chocolates. Emma and her sister, Ava, visit the French Broad Chocolate Lounge in the book–a place that is very real and very delicious. It’s my favorite date night hang out. Their truffle flavors are amazing and different and totally unexpected and I can’t wait to share.

So! You know you want to enter. There are lots of ways to do so thanks to Rafflecopter, including one, very free, very easy, very “you don’t have to share anything anywhere” way. (I do hope you will share, though. It matters.)

Just click below and you’ll see all your entry options. Giveaway runs through March, 28th, 2016.

As always, thank you for reading, reviewing and supporting authors in their writing endeavors. We couldn’t do it without you.
